  • Well-behaved dogs are very welcome to stroll the market with their people. Be a good neighbor – keep those pups leashed and under control. We don’t want to ask anyone (or any animal) to leave!

Vendor FAQ

Information for market vendors

  • CFM is a producer-only market, meaning all vendors must grow, bake, brew, make, etc. all of their own products. For example, vegetables must be grown by the producer; eggs must be from the producer’s own poultry; meats must be from the producer’s own animals; bread must be baked by the producer; pottery must be made by the producer’s own hand, etc. Re-selling of items is not allowed. Exceptions are made for this rule at the market committee’s discretion ONLY when the market does not have a vendor who themselves produce what the committee considers a “staple item” (i.e. milk). Preference is given to producers located within Greene County.

  • Yes. CFM requires all vendors to hold liability insurance, naming the Catskill Farmers Market LLC, PO Box 650, Catskill, NY 12414 as additional insured. Proof of coverage is required prior to participation in the market.

  • No – only farm’s who are overseen by a USDA National Organic Program-authorized certifying agent may claim organic status. If you are unsure of how to label your products, visit the USDA’s guide to Labeling Organic Products for more information.
